New delivery – more lower prices

  • by

Hi,

Hope your Holiday Celebrations were full of Joy and Gratitude.

We have just received another nice delivery from our main supplier Kehe, and this has allowed us to reduce prices in even more food items throughout the store!! This brings our recent price reductions to over 200 products!!

We are starting the new year with a bang and hope you will take advantage of all these opportunities. The more you support your local grocery store, the easier it becomes for us to bring even lower prices. Why? You may ask?

Because of the way the current food supply chain is structured. The prices we pay for the food we sell is dependent upon purchase volume per delivery. This is why it is nearly impossible for small rural grocery stores to offer prices similar than those found in larger nationwide retail chains.

This is where community support comes in and why your support can make all the difference.

About a year ago, we accomplished the first step to significantly lower our prices and improve the quality of our offerings. We did this by joining INFRA, an association of independent food retailers that combines the purchasing power of all its members to negotiate preferential pricing with major food suppliers.

Now we are ready for the next step.

This next step is to increase our purchasing volume per delivery so we can move up our current pricing tier. We would like to go up the pricing tier to obtain even better pricing. Better pricing means even MORE AFFORDABLE food for you and every member of our community. But here is the catch…

… only you can make this happen. This step can only be achieved with full community support. Every dollar you invest in your community by buying your food and supplies from us brings us closer to the goal of making high quality food more affordable for you.

When you invest in your community you invest not only in yourself but in everyone else who lives around here.

Shopping LOCAL from independently owned stores is an investment in yourself and your community. You do have the power to make a difference and you can be an agent of amazingly good change.

To a fruitful 2025 for us all.

B Street Market.
